The P4 Retreat Campus -- in the Piney Woods of East Texas
Our P4 Retreat: TEXAS 2024 is tucked away in a private secure patch of the Piney Woods of East Texas. Once again, we found an inspirational natural setting for our annual retreat. This year we have an abundance of space and even more privacy. We'll experience acres of relaxing, beautiful scenery and feel serenity and peace in the air. A location that feels this calm will help heal your heart just by being there.
For a few years now, we've had a fun journey together. We first met in the dry desert city of Phoenix Arizona (southwest USA, 2020) and had a great time, despite all odds within a chaotic world pandemic. Then we went mid-north to the fantastic downtown riverwalk area of Chicago Illinois (central USA, 2021), for some amazing architectural beauty. Such a pretty city! In 2022, we headed out to the northwestern corner of the country for some massive Montana mountains. We enjoyed being surrounded by scenic mountains, rivers, and valleys, with awesome views in every direction, feeling safe with acres of space and privacy for our event. Last year, 2023, we stayed with a remote mountain location, going deep into the cool, leafy rainforests of North Carolina in an area filled with waterfalls.
Now, heading to Texas in 2024, a southern central USA location, we're in for a treat with a large country campus. We have nearly 200 acres of private land. Our own private lake. Miles of hiking trails. Open grassy lawns. All varieties of sitting areas, inside and out. Plus, we have more recreational options than we could ever use. Oh, and oh yeah. We have an abundance of housing.
We have 4 or 5 different options for housing. Of course, we won't use all of those, but we'll have plenty of space to spread out.

Let's start with outdoors, and oh my! Pretty, relaxing views in every direction.
Imagine sitting out here to see the trees, the flowers -- the Piney Woods -- including our very own private lake during the day. Maybe catching a colorful sunrise or sunset, then seeing the star-filled skies by night. This peaceful, private setting will bring healing to your tender wounds, just being here.
Bring out some coffee. Have a cuppa tea. Sit quietly, relax, breathe..... Take in the fresh country air, and listen to the birds, the squirrels, the peace and quiet. Maybe you'll see a fish jump.

With well over 100 acres of this gorgeous landscape to play in, we'll have a mixture of outdoor activities and adventures, especially during the day. The Retreat Acreage has forested areas, outdoor walking paths, outdoor tables, and private sitting places

Or, maybe rocking the dock might be more your style.
How about rocking in a canoe or sitting on a paddle board?
Get away from the crowded busy city, and enjoy a little peace and quiet outdoors.
Only the birds will be able to hear the complex conversations that will be happening here!
This retreat location has oodles of space in the front, outdoor space in the back, more outdoor areas to the side, and all kinds of land to explore. Miles of hiking trails. Our adventure walks will be awesome!

Not to be outdone by the incredible outside scenery, our P4 '24 retreat venue has a wide variety of buildings for us to use. We will have space to spread out. Nothing will be crowded.
We have a designated Large Group Meeting Room.
It's looking a little sparsely decorated in this pictures, but not to worry about that. We'll fancy up that area with all the P4 teal blankets, quilts, pillows and decorations that seems to show up everywhere we go. Plus, we can bring in some extra couches, as needed.
We will have plenty of room in here to be comfortable, be creative, have group discussions, act out some amazing skits, or have those important private talks.
This venue even has it's own piano for us to use.

There is a mixture of private settings, and also group settings.

At the P4 '24 Retreat, we have two options for housing.
OPTION 1: Hotel-style Rooms.
In it's own separate building, we have 5 upgraded rooms, newly built hotel-style spaces, each made for double occupancy. Fully accessible, easy, clean, and convenient.
These rooms come with lovely fresh bed linens, towels, single-serve coffee makers, mini-fridges, interior bathrooms, air conditioning, and wifi.

These rooms have their own outdoor sitting areas, their own outdoor patio, table and chairs, including rocking chairs.
OPTION 2: Bunk-style Rooms.
For people who are more budget-minded, and willing to share spaces with a few others, we have a more affordable option with a variety of rooms of bunkbeds and large, shared restrooms.
These rooms are also clean and spacious -- no one will be crowded.
Everyone will have an area within these rooms, including space for their luggage and personal items. No one will share a bunk. Each P4 attendee will have their own set of bunkbeds to use however they choose.
Bring your own linens, your own pillow, toss in a blanket if you expect to be cool.
The bunk-style rooms have shared restrooms.
We have a few options of shared bunk-style rooms / restrooms to choose from.
